Ensure that Your 2019 Mazda3 has a Healthy Battery with Woodhouse Place Mazda

At Woodhouse Place Mazda, we’re dedicated to sharing the pure exhilaration of the Mazda experience with our Omaha customers. But with the weather changing, many of us might be concerned about the components of their vehicles. For instance, how can we keep track of our 2019 Mazda3’s battery, and how do when know when it’s time to replace your car’s battery?

There are a lot of factors that go into needing to change your car’s battery, and unfortunately, one of the most common problems is something you cannot control: the weather. Heat is the bane of a battery: the hotter it is, the quicker it loses charge and degrades. You can expect a battery in a hotter climate to last only about three years, while a cold-weather battery can last up to five years or more. All we can say is try to keep your battery as cool as possible.

Something you do have control over is how you drive your 2019 Mazda3. If you drive very short distances a lot, that’s not a problem. However, if you drive short distances while also running your dual-zone climate control, Bluetooth® connectivity, and available Wi-Fi hotspot, you continuously wear out your vehicle’s battery. This can eventually drain it completely, leaving you stranded by the side of the road.

But if you’re looking for a way to keep track of your battery’s life, make an appointment to come into our Mazda Service Department! As part of our inspection process we can check out your Mazda’s battery, and we can give you a fresh Mazda-approved battery right then if you end up needing a replacement. Make your appointment today!
